When we first started thinking about our first home back in 2016,

- We were not sure where to start and whom to contact first. 

- We were not sure how much deposit we needed to buy a home.

- We were not sure how to estimate the true market value of the property so       we were worried that we would overpay for the property. 

After we inspected the properties, we were not sure how to submit the offer on the property that we wanted to buy. The property market in Australia was booming in 2016 and the prices were going up faster than the rate at which we could save money for deposit. We thought we needed minimum 20% deposit, so we were waiting and saving money, but prices were going up faster and our savings were not enough to put a 20% deposit. 

If we had known about LMI back then, we would have bought our first home sooner and also, we would have paid much less than what we ended up paying for our first home. 

Anyways, the overall property buying process was stressful and overwhelming, but we somehow managed to buy our first home in 2017 after looking for more than 6 months. Back then, I thought taking 6 months when buying a property is quite normal but now as a property buyers’ agent at “Investors Delight” I know that taking 6 months to buy a home is too long and it is not normal. 

When I am buying property for my clients as a property buyers’ agent, on an average I take around 4 to 6 weeks to buy a property. When we were buying our first home, I wished I had access to a step-by-step course which could guide me through the entire property buying process.
